About Me
I am a woodworker. I've been making "stuff" out of
wood since the age of five when I bugged my Dad to help me make
a small box. I love wood. I have always been fascinated by the
infinite variety of wood grain, texture, color and uses of wood.
It is resilient enough to make airplanes fly and tough enough
to build a train trestle. It serves the dual purpose of making
our cabinets and tables beautiful and functional.
I made my first bo staff for my son. His fellow students complimented
me by placing orders for their own personalized staffs.
To build bo staffs that are straight, durable and attractive,
I follow two principles. One is to use only straight-grained wood
and two is to laminate. This requires more time to select the
wood and more time to construct the bo staff, but the extra time
and expense yields a superior product.
I hope you enjoy this site, learn about wood and I invite you
to create your own Bo staff.
